“Do you want to do it again?” We ask the children.
They smile. Of course we know the answer.
“Yes!” They shout exuberantly.
Another round of the game “Hot Potato” in a Mozambican
village where many of the children carry what is left of their pencil in their mouths
for they don’t want to lose it or they will have nothing to write with at
school.
Their laughter fills the air…a moment of joy for children
who live in some of the poorest areas of Mozambique.
While we get weary wondering if they will ever tire of this
game, we continue to wind up the electronic potato and play…
Again.
